Thank you for such a relaxing and indulgent stay! What a little oasis this place is – like a mini paradise. No request was too hard and the food… wow, it was divine! Particular thanks to aunty Sumithra who was an absolute godsend and helped with the children – made the stay even more pleasurable!

We arrived on the 18^th of December and had a wonderful stay. The staff was very attentive and welcomed us whole-heartedly, we had fantastic customer service, lovely food, the pool was very refreshing, the rooms provided maximum comfort and overall a relaxing ambience.

Villa Maggona proved to be a hidden gem and we had a truly splendid holiday. The service was spectacular and G and C made us feel like royalty! Every meal was a well thought out scrumptious culinary delight and we are really going to miss the good food. The apple/pineapple crumble is highly recommended. We leave this beautiful paradise with fond memories, some great pictures and a hope to return again!

I think it’s a great place to relax and have lots and lots of fun. We have some fun memories, Baking cookies, Trying to climb coconut trees with my brother, Playing on the floaters, Eating C’s food, Pulling fish (from the sea) with my dad, the fisherman. Thanks for making this a great holiday

Wonderful few days at Villa Maggona. I first came here when the house was under construction in 2008 and realized that it was going to be something very special. Now it is finished it captures all that is best in Sri Lanka, a wonderful architectural response to the Sri Lankan context – the sea, the plants the traditional heritage, the quality of light and the natural environment. The hospitality has been superb – amazing sri lankan meals and all our favorite dishes produced by c, g and r who give every attention to our comfort. J and M’s furnishing and interiors leave no detail unconsidered. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful break at this lovely house. I am sure the memories will last forever

Truly a most memorable trip- my first to the charming island that is Sri Lanka. A breathtaking villa: which of course it would be, having been designed by Sri Lanka’s leading, multi award winning architect. Beautiful setting, serene flow of spaces and exquisite use of light that help showcase the beautiful furniture and interior décor. I have been pampered by Kyoto’s finest maids but nothing anywhere can come close to the warm welcome and service that is provided by the fantastic duo that is C and G. Food just doesn’t get better than this, and has now become my favourite cuisine, just keep the curd and treacle to yourselves, we wouldn’t want to create a shortage now, would we!

We were so happy to see this lovely spot and to enjoy the incredible hospitality of this household. We will remember this place with such fondness
